Hajkutterfestival

The Shark Cutter Festival (Hajkutterfestival) is a traditional summer festival at Nysted Harbour, celebrating the old wooden shark cutters and their history as fishing vessels. The festival features sailing trips, a regatta, music, food and activities for the whole family — including free maritime activities for children. Traditional fish dishes are served, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming to locals and visitors alike. Admission is free. The festival is held annually in late July/early August — see haikutter.dk for the current programme.
