Grønjægers Høj
📍 Fanefjord Kirkevej 55, 4792
Free
Grønjægers Høj — also known as Grønsalen — on the western part of Møn is one of Denmark's longest long barrows, with an impressive length of 102 metres. The east-west-oriented megalithic tomb from the Neolithic Funnel Beaker culture, constructed around 3500–3300 BC, contains three burial chambers and is surrounded by 145 large kerbstones. The monument lies beautifully in the landscape south of Fanefjord Church, is named after the legendary king Grøn and is publicly accessible year-round. A visit can be nicely combined with the nearby Fanefjord Church, which is known for its rich frescoes.
