Fanefjord Skov
📍 Fanefjord Skov, 4792 Askeby, Danmark
Free
Fanefjord Skov stretches along the western side of Møn down towards Fanefjord and is a peaceful state-owned forest area with trails, deciduous woodland and viewpoints over the fjord. The forest is well suited for walks and family outings, and the forest floor's flowering plants change with the seasons. From the forest it is a short distance to Fanefjord Church — one of Møn's oldest churches, with medieval frescoes — and to Grønjægers Høj, one of Denmark's most impressive long barrows. The nearby campsite offers the option to stay overnight amid natural surroundings. The forest is managed by the Danish Nature Agency.
